How to perform BLAST between a microrganism and human proteome ?

Hi, this is Nikita Bora, I want to know how to perform BLAST between a microrganism proteome and human proteome.. i have tried the stand alone BLAST, but it is not working. can you please suggest me something simple??

miRNA seed site determination in target mRNA?

Dear friends,

While reading an article ("miR-143 is downregulated in cervical cancer and promotes apoptosis and inhibits tumor formation by targeting Bcl-2") I encounterd that they give seed site of miRNA but I do not understand how they achieve. Is there any method or tool to get any estimation about seed site of miRNA on its target mRNA? I hope, you will understand my question if not please point out then I will explain more my question.

I need help finding an easy to understand, comprehensive book on basic and intermediate bioinformatics. I own Bioinformatics-concepts, skills and applications 2nd edition by S.C. rastogi n namita mendiratta. The book/books should cover all topics ranging from concepts to algorithms and tools and should be a recent edition. It can be of an Indian or international author.

I found two books on indian website-

1)Bioinformatics: Databases, Tools, and Algorithms-by Orpita Bosu, Simminder Kaur Thukral

2)Bioinformatics: Principles And Applications-by zhumur ghosh

I am not sure if these are good.

In the result page of BLAST, graphical summary shows "Distribution of 100 Blast Hits on the Query Sequence", but the bar that we get isn't 100. is thr any icon to click so that we get all 100 bars?
