NGenomeSyn provides an easy way for its users to visualize a large amount of data with a rich layout by simply adjusting options for moving, scaling, and rotation of target genomes. Moreover, NGenomeSyn could be applied on the visualization of relationships on non-genomic data with similar input formats.

Modern Statistics with R

This is the online version of the second edition of Modern Statistics with R. It is free to use, and always will be. Printed copies are available from CRC Press.

Live online courses on statistics with R based on this book, led by the author, are offered regularly; see this page for more information and dates.

The past decades have transformed the world of statistical data analysis, with new methods, new types of data, and new computational tools. The aim of Modern Statistics with R is to introduce you to key parts of the modern statistical toolkit. It teaches you:

Data wrangling - importing, formatting, reshaping, merging, and filtering data in R.

Exploratory data analysis - using visualisations and multivariate techniques to explore datasets.

Statistical inference - modern methods for testing hypotheses and computing confidence intervals.

Predictive modelling - regression models and machine learning methods for prediction, classification, and forecasting.

Simulation - using simulation techniques for sample size computations and evaluations of statistical methods.

Ethics in statistics - ethical issues and good statistical practice.

R programming - writing code that is fast, readable, and (hopefully!) free from bugs.

The book includes plenty of examples and more than 200 exercises with worked solutions. The datasets used for the examples and the exercises can be downloaded here.

Address of the bookmark: https://www.modernstatisticswithr.com/

Helitron-like elements (HLE1 and HLE2) are DNA transposons. They have been found in diverse species and seem to play significant roles in the evolution of host genomes. Although known for over twenty years, Helitron sequences are still challenging to identify. Here, we propose HELIANO (Helitron-like elements annotator) as an efficient solution for detecting Helitron-like elements.

Welcome to Chile Sequence to Chile: A Genomic Exploration Project for the Future Genomics, the science that deciphers the complexity of DNA, immerses us in the world of life at its most basic level. On this journey into the depths of genetic information, we find the 1000 Genomes Chile Project, an initiative that seeks to explore and understand the genetic wealth of our country.

Deciphering Life at the Molecular Level DNA sequencing is the key that opens the door to invaluable knowledge. By understanding the genes that make up Chilean species, we unravel the secrets of their evolution, their resistance and their adaptation to the environment. In a world where biodiversity faces constant threats, sequencing becomes crucial for the conservation and understanding of our natural heritage.

Involving Everyone: A Nationwide Effort The 1000 Genomes Chile Project is not just a task for scientists. It is a country-wide effort that seeks the participation of everyone: from citizens to the government to the private sector. We believe in the importance of sharing knowledge, involving society in the selection of species to sequence, in monitoring progress and in applying the results to preserve our environment.

Address of the bookmark: https://1000genomas.cl/
