Teaching Assistant at SVIMS

Eligible candidates are invited for a walk-in-interview for recruitment of Teaching Assistant in the Department of Bioinformatics on 8.08.2015 at 10 A.M. in the Committee Hall, SVIMS, Tirupati. The candidates have to attend with all original certificates of qualification, experience on the date of interview. The engagement will be made purely on adhoc basis for a period of 6 months and it can be terminated at any time without notice or without assigning any reason thereof. This is purely an adhoc appointment and the candidate will not have any right to claim permanent benefits of any kind.

The ideal candidate will have experience designing and implementing efficient algorithms to process large datasets. The role will involve collaborating with research scientists and other engineers, so strong communication skills are a must.

Job Description

• Work within a fast-paced, collaborative environment with small project teams working on a variety of tasks ranging from new product development to DNA data processing
• Collaborate with Centrillion research scientists in order to bridge the gap between the laboratory and the digital world
• Develop tools to enable research projects to cope with the enormous amounts of data produced by modern DNA sequencing experiments
• Build simulation algorithms to help guide and analyze research done in the lab
• Solve challenging engineering problems that require the development of innovative algorithms

Requirements

• Strong background in mathematics/statistics with a degree in a related field
• Strong analytical, coding, communication, and organizational skills
• Experience with algorithm development, simulations, and data analysis
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (like Python or Perl)
• Experience analyzing genetic and biological data sets (e.g., DNA data analysis and image analysis)
• Experience with machine learning and pattern recognition is preferred

WALK-IN-INTERVIEW for the post of JRF and Project Assistant @ CIFT

Jr. Research Fellow – 2 posts

Terms & Conditions:

Registration will begin at 8.30 a.m and will close at 11.00 am
Age limit (as on 29.1.2015): Below 35 years for men and 40 years for women.
Age relaxation of 3 year for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates is permissible.
Candidates are required to submit self-attested copies of all the Certificates in support of their claims regarding age, educational qualifications, scheduled caste/scheduled tribe/OBC etc. The original certificates shall be produced for verification before the interview.
