Perhaps this is the reason why (not only this!!! ) computational biologist/bioinformatics scientists are hot commodities in the research world.</p><p>In fact, there are huge demands for expert biological data analyst. It&rsquo;s a fairly new &nbsp;(not exactly) hot area, these bioinformatician are invaluable because they know and understand the significance of biological data for your research and how you can use it for better understanding of biological problems.</p><p>The bioinformatics can discover biological patterns and stories in genomic and proteomics data. Then, explore the approaches used to deal with data provided and pick up those candidates who convey real vision, robust understanding and deep insight.</p><p>3. Energetic &ndash; Curiosity to explore</p><p>Mostly natural curiosity and enthusiasm for solving big biological problems coupled with an ability to transform data into a scientific stories may place one candidate above the rest. 	<title><![CDATA[IONiseR:  tools for the quality assessment of data produced by Oxford Nanopore’s MinION sequencer]]></title>
	<description><![CDATA[<p>This package is intended to provide tools for the quality assessment of data produced by Oxford Nanopore&rsquo;s MinION sequencer. It includes a functions to generate a number plots for examining the statistics that we think will be useful for this task.</p>
<p>However, nanopore sequencing is an emerging and rapidly developing technology. It is not clear what will be most informative. We hope that&nbsp;<code>IONiseR</code>&nbsp;will provide a framework for visualisation of metrics that we haven&rsquo;t thought of, and welcome feedback at&nbsp;<a href="mailto:mike.smith@embl.de" target="_blank">mike.smith@embl.de</a>.</p>

	<title><![CDATA[Reference-free prediction of rearrangement breakpoint reads]]></title>
	<description><![CDATA[<p><span>lideSort-BPR (&nbsp;</span><span>b</span><span>&nbsp;reak&nbsp;</span><span>p</span><span>&nbsp;oint&nbsp;</span><span>r</span><span>&nbsp;eads) is based on a fast algorithm for all-against-all comparisons of short reads and theoretical analyses of the number of neighboring reads. When applied to a dataset with a sequencing depth of 100&times;, it finds &sim;88% of the breakpoints correctly with no false-positive reads. Moreover, evaluation on a real prostate cancer dataset shows that the proposed method predicts more fusion transcripts correctly than previous approaches, and yet produces fewer false-positive reads. To our knowledge, this is the first method to detect breakpoint reads without using a reference genome.</span></p>
