Job Description: Bioinformatics postdoc positions are available in the area of genomics with main focus on exome and RNAseq technologies by ultra high-throughput sequencing platforms. Successful applicants should have the following qualities:

1) demonstrated experience in Bioinformatics research,
2) programing experience (python and/or R, C and C++ are very welcome),
3) knowledge of Linux/Unix environment,
4) experience in handling deep-seq data,
5) highly motivated and hard working, and
6) interested to work with a multi-disciplinary team combining bioinformatics, genomics, computational biology approaches with experimental biology.

Our research interest covers different areas of bioinformatics and genomics in order to achieve a deeper understanding of gene and genome structure and function (please look at our PubMed publications for more details about our research http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/?term=pesole+g).

A position for a Postdoctoral fellow is available in the area of bioinformatics and genomics. The Institute for Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine (inStem) is a highly collaborative environment and we are seeking an individual who can interface with both wet and dry lab scientists to use profiling technologies to advance our understanding of tissue regeneration and repair. Consequently, the selected candidate for this position can expect world-class training in integrating the fields of cell biology, molecular biology, animal models, and genomics/proteomics.

We are seeking an individual with expertise in analyzing next generation sequencing data, mutation calling in exome seq data, network inference, data integration, and modeling. Competitive candidates would also have programming experience in scripting languages with perl, C, C++, and R programming. This position requires a PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Biostatistics or related fields, and evidence of scientific productivity through publications in international journals. Motivation to gain an in-depth understanding of biological phenomena is required! Applications should include a current CV and names of at least three references. Realizing the importance of Island Agriculture to meet the requirements of local population and tourists, Indian Council of Agricultural research (ICAR) established Central Island Agricultural Research Institute, Port Blair on June 23rd, 1978 by merging different regional research stations of ICAR institutes located in Islands. The ultimate aim of CIARI is the developments of island agricultural production technologies which utilizes the strengths of the island and convert the constraints in opportunities, without causing any ill effect to the fragile ecosystem of the island.The institute has made tremendous progress in the Agriculture development of the islands during the last three decades.
