	<title><![CDATA[Retrieving Taxonomic Information with R]]></title>
	<description><![CDATA[<p>This vignette will introduce users to the retrieval of taxonomic information with&nbsp;<code>myTAI</code>. The&nbsp;<code>taxonomy()</code>&nbsp;function implemented in&nbsp;<code>myTAI</code>&nbsp;relies on the powerful package&nbsp;<a href="https://github.com/ropensci/taxize">taxize</a>. Nevertheless, taxonomic information retrieval has been customized for the&nbsp;<code>myTAI</code>&nbsp;standard and for organism specific information retrieval.</p>
<p>Specifically, the&nbsp;<code>taxonomy()</code>&nbsp;function implemented in&nbsp;<code>myTAI</code>&nbsp;can be used to classify genomes according to phylogenetic classification into Phylostrata (Phylostratigraphy) or to retrieve species specific taxonomic information when performing Divergence Stratigraphy (see&nbsp;<a href="https://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/myTAI/vignettes/Introduction.html">Introduction</a>&nbsp;for details).</p><p>Address of the bookmark: <a href="https://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/myTAI/vignettes/Taxonomy.html" rel="nofollow">https://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/myTAI/vignettes/Taxonomy.html</a></p>]]></description>

<p>Position (scale), qualifications and experience</p>

<p>1. Information Officer (Rs 8000-275-13500): one post <br />Qualifications and experience: MCA, Post-Graduate in any field of biosciences, bioinformatics with at least two years of experience in working in a bioinformatics setup and good knowledge of linux operating system and computer networking.</p>

<p>General terms and conditions: <br />1. The above engagements is presently till March 31st, 2017. However on extension of project grant and satisfactory performance of the candidate, your services can be extended beyond March 31st, 2017 based on the terms and conditions of extension of project grant.</p>

	<title><![CDATA[MUMmer4: A fast and versatile genome alignment system]]></title>
	<description><![CDATA[<p><span>MUMmer4, a substantially improved version of MUMmer that addresses genome size constraints by changing the 32-bit suffix tree data structure at the core of MUMmer to a 48-bit suffix array, and that offers improved speed through parallel processing of input query sequences. With a theoretical limit on the input size of 141Tbp, MUMmer4 can now work with input sequences of any biologically realistic length. 	<title><![CDATA[CLARK: Fast, accurate and versatile sequence classification system]]></title>
	<description><![CDATA[<p><span></span><a href="http://dx.doi.org/10.1186/s12864-015-1419-2"><strong>CLARK</strong></a><span>, a method based on a supervised sequence classification using discriminative&nbsp;</span><em>k</em><span>-mers. Considering two distinct specific classification problems (see the article for details), namely (1) the taxonomic classification of metagenomic reads to known bacterial genomes, and (2) the assignment of BAC clones and transcript to chromosome arms/centromeres (in the absence of a finished assembly for the reference genome), CLARK outperforms in classification speed and precision the best state-of-the-art methods.</span></p>

	<title><![CDATA[GTDB-Tk: A toolkit for assigning objective taxonomic classifications to bacterial and archaeal genomes.]]></title>
	<description><![CDATA[<p>GTDB-Tk is a software toolkit for assigning objective taxonomic classifications to bacterial and archaeal genomes. It is computationally efficient and designed to work with recent advances that allow hundreds or thousands of metagenome-assembled genomes (MAGs) to be obtained directly from environmental samples. It can also be applied to isolate and single-cell genomes. The GTDB-Tk is open source and released under the GNU General Public License (Version 3).</p>
<p>GTDB-Tk is&nbsp;<span>under active development and validation</span>. Please independently confirm the GTDB-Tk predictions by manually inspecting the tree and bringing any discrepencies to our attention.
