<p>CSIR Nehru Science Postdoctoral Research Fellowship</p>

<p>About Fellowship: <br />CSIR Nehru Science Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Scheme is an Research Fellowship awarded/given by HRD Ministry, Govt. of India every year to more than 100 fellows.</p>

<p>It was started to identify promising and young researchers with novel ideas and provide them research opportunities in the areas of basic science, engineering, medicine &amp; agriculture.</p>

<p>The fellowship aims at facilitating their transition from mentored to independent research career.</p>

<p>Eligibility: To be eligible for this fellowship, you:<br />1.) PhD degree (within 3 years of award of PhD degree), OR<br />2.) Those who have submitted PhD theses.<br />3.) Applicants should have research publications in good impact factor SCI journals.<br />4.) Indian nationals, Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) &amp; Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), a can also apply.<br />5.) Maximum Age Limit: 32 years.</p>

<p>Duration: <br />– 2 Years.<br />– extendable for a maximum of 1 more year based on performance.</p>

<p>Remuneration: <br />– Rs. 50,000/- per month plus House Rent Allowance (HRA)<br />– A contingency grant of Rs. 3.0 lakh per annum.<br />– 25% of the contingency grant can be used for domestic and international travel.</p>

<p>A walk-in-interview will be held on 09 March, 2017, 11.15 a.m. at the office of the Head, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Tezpur University for one (01) temporary position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the DBT, Govt. of India sponsored project entitled “Integrating genome scale metabolic analysis of model plant pathogen Ralstonia solanacearum with RNAseq and fluxomics” under Dr. Siddhartha Sankar Satapathy (ssankar@tezu.ernet.in), Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Tezpur University.<br /> <br />Interested candidates may appear before the interview board with original documents from 10th standard onwards and photocopies of mark sheets, certificates, testimonials, caste certificate (if applicable), experience certificate certificates of NET/GATE/BET or similar examination qualifications, any other testimonials and a copy of recent curriculum vitae (CV) on the day of interview.<br /> <br />Essential qualification: M.Tech. in CSE/IT (With specialization in Computational Biology/Bioinformatics) or M.Sc. in Bioinformatics/Biosciences/Molecular Biology Biotechnology preferably with NET/GATE/BET.<br /> <br />Candidates should have minimum 55 % mark both in 10th and 10+2 Science examinations and mathematics at 10+2 Science.<br /> <br />Desirable: Preference will be given to the candidates having experience in computational analysis of genome sequences or similar projects.<br /> <br />Remuneration: Rs. 25,000/- (Rupees twenty five thousand) only + HRA as admissible per month for the 1st two years and Rs. 28,000/- (Rupees twenty eight thousand) only + HRA as admissible per month for the 3rd year for SRF and applicable to the candidate having post graduate degree in Basic Science with NET/GATE/BET qualification or post graduate degree in professional course. <p>A walk-in-interview will be held on 15.7.2013 at 12 noon in the Department of Biophysics, Molecular Biology and Bioinformatics, 92 A.P.C Road, Kolkata-700 009 to select one trainee research fellow and two students under DIC. The positions are purely temporary and would be for a period of six months from the date of joining which may be extended by another six months subject to successful performance.</p>

<p>Qualification:</p>

<p>For the Trainee Research Fellow: Should have a master degree in Bioinformatics or allied subjects and should have biological database development experience. Must have at least one publication.</p>

<p>For the Students: Should have a master degree in Bioinformatics or allied subjects and should be proficient in C-programming language. Must be familiar with techniques of Developmental Biology.</p>

<p>The Trainee Research Fellow would be paid a consolidated sum of Rs 10000/- per month and the students would be paid a sum amount Rs. 7000/- per month during the tenure of the project.</p>

	<description><![CDATA[<p><span>Ministry of Science &amp;Technology, Govt. of India</span></p><p><span>DBT-Junior Research Fellowship (DBT-JRF) in Biotechnology (2020)</span></p><p><span><span>BIOTECHNOLOGY ELIGIBILITY TEST (BET) 2020</span></span></p><p>Applications are invited from bonafide Indian citizens, residing in India for award of &ldquo;DBT-Junior Research Fellowship&rdquo; (DBT-JRF) for pursuing research in frontier areas of Biotechnology and Life Sciences. The candidates will be selected through &ldquo;Biotechnology Eligibility Test (BET)&rdquo;. Based on the performance in BET, two categories of merit list will be prepared (Category-I and Category-II). Government of India norms for reservation will be followed for selection. Candidates selected under category-I will be eligible to avail fellowship under the programme. These will be tenable at any University/Institute in India where the selected candidate registers for PhD Programme. Candidates selected under Category-II will be eligible to be appointed in any DBT sponsored project and avail fellowship from the project equivalent to NET/GATE, subject to selection through institutional selection process. There will be no binding on Principal Investigators of DBT sponsored projects to select JRF for their project from category-II list. Selection in category-II will not entitle student for any fellowship from DBT-JRF programme.</p><p><span>ELIGIBILITY</span></p><p><span>Qualification</span>: M.Sc./ M.Tech./ M.V.Sc. or equivalent degree/ Integrated BS-MS/ B.E./ B.Tech. in any discipline of&nbsp;<a href="https://www.biotecnika.org/category/jobs/biotech-jobs/">Biotechnology</a>, M.Sc./ M.Tech. Bioinformatics/ Computational Biology, students admitted under DBT supported Postgraduate Teaching Programs. M.Sc. Life Science/ Bioscience/ Zoology/ Botany/ Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Biophysics and Masters in Allied areas of Biology/Life Sciences.
