<p>Project Title : Integrating genome scale metabolic analysis of model plant pathogen Ralstonia solanacearum with RNAseq and fluxomics</p>

<p>Essential qualification : M.Tech. in CSE/IT (With specialization in Computational Biology/Bioinformatics) or M.Sc. in Bioinformatics/Biosciences/Molecular Biology Biotechnology preferably with NET/GATE/BET. Candidates should have minimum 55 % mark both in 10th and 10+2 Science examinations and mathematics at 10+2 Science. Desirable: Preference will be given to the candidates having experience in computational analysis of genome sequences or similar projects.</p>

<p>Remuneration : Rs. 25,000/- for the 1st two years and Rs. 28,000/- for the 3rd year for SRF and applicable to the candidate having post graduate degree in Basic Science with NET/GATE/BET qualification or post graduate degree in professional course. <p>1.	RA / Research Associate (Metabolic engineering/Computational Biologist)</p>

<p>Salary: Rs. 36000/- + HRA</p>

<p>Essential Qualifications: PhD in Bioinformatics /Mathematics/Computer Science with experience in analyzing high throughput omics-based data/Analysis of Network Biology/Chemoinformatics/Computational Biology related Software development. Published paper in the field is a must to prove the experience. Special consideration will be given if have experience in Industry, teaching &amp; product development.</p>

<p>Desired Skills: Prior experience in handling and guiding bioinformatics, metabolomics data, planning of new research area in metabolic driven network , collaborating with industry , preparing and filing reports etc. Will be expected to communicate with user groups and coordinate with LIMS group in Hyderabad and the Cheminformatics group in Delhi.</p>

<p>2.	Project SRF (Network model building/Systems biology integration)</p>

<p>Salary*: Rs.18000/- + HRA</p>

<p>Vacancy: 1</p>

<p>Essential Qualifications: M.Tech in Computational Biology with project experience or Masters / B.Tech in Basic Sciences with at least 2yrs of research experience in Bioinformatics/Mathematical Model building using Computational Biology tools &amp; related Database / Network analysis etc. For M.Sc/B.Tech, Published paper in peer-reviewed Journal whereas for M.Tech, the degree obtained in computational biology is a must.</p>

<p>Desired Skills: Will be expected to manage ongoing research activities in LIMS, interact with LIMS group, build network model using data compiled by experimentalist, prepare and file reports and associated project work etc. Familiarity with plant systems biology and genomics /metabolite resources related to plant metabolomics is desirable.</p>

<p>Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the purely temporary positions of one Research Associate (RA) and one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the DBT- CPCFG Sub-Project 2B entitled “Understanding genetic and molecular basis of Ascochyta blight resistance in chickpea” under the supervision of Dr. Praveen Verma, Scientist, NIPGR. </p>

<p>Research Associate (one post): Emoluments as per DST/DBT norms &amp; as sanctioned in the project</p>

<p>Qualification: Candidates having Ph.D. degree (awarded) in any discipline of Life Sciences with good publication record are eligible to apply. Candidates having prior experience in the area of Genetic and molecular analysis of plant/fungus for disease resistance/susceptibility of transcriptome and genome analysis will be preferred.</p>

<p>Junior Research Fellow (one post): Emoluments as per DST/DBT norms &amp; as sanctioned in the project</p>

<p>Qualification: Candidates having M.Sc./M.Tech degree in any discipline of Life Sciences/Engineering (with minimum 55% marks) are eligible to apply. The Candidate having prior work experience in Molecular biology of plants/animal/fungus or Computational biology with experience in analysis of next-generation sequencing data, protein-protein interaction and system biology will be given preference.</p>

<p>The positions are purely temporary and are co-terminus with the project. The initial appointment will be for one year, which can be extended/curtailed on the basis of assessment of the candidate’s performance and discretion of the Competent Authority. The eligible candidates may further be shortlisted based on the qualification/experience depending on the total number of applications received. NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate against the above post depending upon the qualification(s) and experience of the candidate. Reservation of post shall be as per Govt. of India norms.</p>

	<title><![CDATA[BINC (Bioinformatics National Certification) Examination 2018]]></title>
	<description><![CDATA[<p>Bioinformatics National Certification (BINC) was instituted by Department of Biotechnology, Government of India in 2005 at Savitribai Phule Pune University, formerly University of Pune, Pune to certify bioinformatics professionals and recognizing candidate's theoretical and practical ability and fostering interdisciplinary research. Later on, it was transferred to Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi and then to Pondicherry University, Puducherry. Pondicherry University conducted the BINC examination in 2015, 2016 and 2017.</p><div><p>Biotech Consortium India Limited (BCIL), New Delhi is conducting the BINC 2018 examination on behalf Department of Biotechnology, Government of India.</p></div><div><p>BINC is a certification programme for graduate and post-graduate students for recognizing their exceptional bioinformatics knowledge and skills and to improve their employment opportunities. There is a growing need for trained manpower in the area of Bioinformatics. Currently, various universities and institutions, both government and private, impart Bioinformatics education in India. The qualifying candidates will be awarded a lifetime certificate. This certification would facilitate industries and potential employers in recruitment of Bioinformatics professionals having exceptionally good bioinformatics skills.</p></div><div><p>The certification under Bioinformatics National Certification (BINC) scheme is given to the candidates after three tier selection process. The successful candidates are also eligible for availing Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) for pursuing Ph.D. in Bioinformatics at recognized Indian universities/institutes. The research fellowships of all BINC qualified Indian nationals are funded by DBT.
