The project involves identification of mutations in MPS (mucopolysaccharidosis) patients, and study of their predicted effects to understand how the mutations lead to disease.

CSIR has set up a Unit for Research and Development of Information Products (CSIRURDIP) at Pune to work in the area of scientific informatics. One of the major focus areas of research work at CSIR-URDIP is PATENT INFORMATICS.
