	<title><![CDATA[xmatchview: smith-waterman alignment visualization]]></title>
	<description><![CDATA[<p><span>xmatchview and xmatchview-conifer are imaging tools for comparing the synteny between DNA sequences. It allows users to align 2 DNA sequences in fasta format using cross_match and displays the alignment in a variety of image formats. xmatchview and xmatchview-conifer are written in python and run on linux and windows. They serve as visual tools for analyzing cross_match alignments. Cross_match (Green, P. (1994)&nbsp;</span><a href="http://www.phrap.org/">http://www.phrap.org</a><span>) uses an implementation of the Smith-Waterman algorithm for comparing DNA sequences that is sensitive.</span></p>

It visualizes evolutionarily conserved genomic regions between human and other 12 vertebrates based on original genome alignments pursuing higher coverage (1,2). 	<description><![CDATA[<p>The NanoPack tools are written in Python3 and released under the GNU GPL3.0 License. The source code can be found at&nbsp;<a href="https://github.com/wdecoster/nanopack" target="">https://github.com/wdecoster/nanopack</a>, together with links to separate scripts and their documentation. The scripts are compatible with Linux, Mac OS and the MS Windows 10 subsystem for Linux and are available as a graphical user interface, a web service at&nbsp;<a href="http://nanoplot.bioinf.be/" target="">http://nanoplot.bioinf.be</a>&nbsp;and command line tools.</p>

	<title><![CDATA[ZENBU: a collaborative, omics data integration and interactive visualization system]]></title>
	<description><![CDATA[<p><span>ZENBU</span><span>&nbsp;</span><span>is a data integration, data analysis, and visualization system enhanced for RNAseq, ChipSeq, CAGE and other types of next-generation-sequence-tag (NGS) based data. 	<description><![CDATA[<p>AlignStatPlot, a new R package and online tool that is well-documented and easy-to usefor MSA and post-MSA analysis. This tool performs both traditional and cutting-edge analy-ses on sequencing data and generates new visualisation methods for MSA results. Whencompared to currently available tools, AlignStatPlot provides a robust ability to handle andvisualise diversity data, while the online version will save time and encourage researchersto focus on explaining their findings. 	<title><![CDATA[S-plot2: Rapid Visual and Statistical Analysis of Genomic Sequences]]></title>
	<description><![CDATA[<p><span>S-plot2 creates an interactive, two-dimensional heatmap capturing the similarities and dissimilarities in nucleotide usage between genomic sequences (partial or complete). In S-plot2, whole eukaryotic chromosomes and smaller prokaryotic genomes can be efficiently compared. The tool includes functionality to extract, analyze, and automate BLAST queries of regions of interest within the heatmap. 	<title><![CDATA[ULTRA (ULTRA Locates Tandemly Repetitive Areas) : Effective Labeling of Repetitive Genomic Sequence]]></title>
	<description><![CDATA[<p dir="auto">ULTRA is a tool to find and annotate tandem repeats inside genomic sequence. It is able to find repeats of any length and of any period (up to a maximum period of 4000). It can find highly decayed repeats missed by other software, and it will also be able to find very large repeats in highly repetitive sequence, regardless of the size of sequence or length of repeats. ULTRA offers meaningful annotation scores and can produce annotation P-values at user request.</p>

	<title><![CDATA[Web Apollo: a web-based genomic annotation editing platform]]></title>
	<description><![CDATA[<p><span>Web Apollo is the first instantaneous, collaborative genomic annotation editor available on the web. One of the natural consequences following from current advances in sequencing technology is that there are more and more researchers sequencing new genomes. These researchers require tools to describe the functional features of their newly sequenced genomes.
