I want to publish my research work on miRNA. I used online "freely" available miRNA dataset, with not known publications, and analysed it. Can you please suggest your experience publishing it in a good Impact Factor Journal? Is this possible to published it?

1) "freely" available miRNA dataset, with not known publications !!!
- Try to find the depositor of the data. If the data is not published, please contact them. They migh have some policy restrictions for publication.
2) Can you please suggest your experience publishing it in a good Impact Factor Journal? Is this possible to published it?
- Ideally you can publish your analysis results (if your findings are novel and instersting), if the data provider does not have any restrictions on deposited data (Read the terms and conditions). And depends on your findings, you can choose the impact factor of the journal like, Natue Genetics, Nature Methods, Nucleic Acid Research, PLoS, BioMedCentral, etc., I cannot write all of them. somebody has put more effort on listing all the bioinformatics journals here http://bioinformaticsonline.com/blog/view/30874/important-journals-blogs-and-forums-for-bioinformaticians
